The totality of the history of the United States has victories and tragedies alike that have affected much of the world's population for over 200 years. However, on December 7th, 2017, President Trump made an announcement that has the gravity to shake the world as never before. The President of the United States announced formal recognition from the U.S. that all of Jerusalem is Israel's capital, and that in the future the U.S. will be moving their Embassy from Tel-Aviv to Jerusalem.
Jerusalem, being recognized as the capital of Israel by the U.S., is an unprecedented decision that many people are not completely certain of as to what the precise ramifications will be. One thing that is firm is that the effects will not be a passing phase. Jerusalem and the importance of this city has always been a volatile and sensitive subject for thousands of years.
Throughout many books in the Bible, the importance of Jerusalem is spelled out including for the future. This is where critical upcoming battles will be fought including one in which God causes a worldwide earthquake to gain the attention of many people. Jerusalem is also the location for the return of Jesus.
The President of the United States honored a campaign promise to Evangelical Christians and the Jewish community in his bold announcement. In doing so, Muslim leaders and many countries are already reacting in varying ways of protest along with bracing themselves for the worst.
Friends and enemies of the United States had both been protesting this pending announcement, stating that it isn't beneficial for peace. King Salman of Saudia Arabia, who was recently developing closer ties to America, condemned the idea and said that it will trigger new violence in the region. King Salman is absolutely correct, and the Bible states that these things will happen for the ultimate glory of God. 'Truth' will be exposed in these last years, including that God is God, no one else is, and that Jesus is the Messiah.
Turkey's foreign minister, Melvuk Cavusoglu, stated that the entire world is against President Trump's decision. Tayyip Erdogen, the President of Turkey, said that his country will cut ties with Israel because of the announcement of recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. Erdogen added a message directly to the U.S. President, "Mr. Trump, Jerusalem is the red line of Muslims." The regions of Turkey, Iran, Russia, and Northern Africa, are some of the regions having the armies that will attack Israel and Jerusalem, according to Bible prophesies.
Palestinian Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah and other Palestinian officials have declared that the peace process is 'finished.' Israeli officials, who have been mostly quiet leading up to this announcement, are diplomatically ecstatic. Careful to tread lightly and not cause any additional stir, Israel Prime Minister stated on Facebook, "Our historic national identity is receiving important expressions every day."
The declaration of President Trump of U.S. recognition that Jerusalem is the capital of Israel has very obvious and serious international consequences. This decision is of Biblical proportions, explosive Holy wars have been fought over Jerusalem for centuries, and Christian Bible prophesies are being fulfilled. This stance of the United States will no doubt create a greater division amongst three major religions as never before, with this small piece of land central to Jewish, Christian, and Muslim beliefs. Many Jewish along with Christian leaders and believers worldwide are rejoicing along with having some trepidation of the backlash. This decision has the world coming closer to a global Holy war as never before in the history of the human race. Throughout President Trump's campaign and recently in the news, he stated that he had a plan that had a chance to bring peace to the Middle East. No other country has an Embassy in Jerusalem. But one thing that most of the world is agreeing on is that although moving the United States Embassy to Jerusalem can have historical consequences, the issue of Jerusalem as Israel's capital is the greater concern. The recognition of the United States combining East and West Jerusalem as the capital of Israel…does seem to place Muslim interests past their breaking point.
One of the primary stumbling blocks in the past for peace was that Muslims view Jerusalem as the future capital of Palestine. Israel views the entirety of Jerusalem as their capital for thousands of years, although it has regularly been divided due to wars. Suddenly, the peace plan that the U.S. administration was about to announce in the near future seems completely irrelevant. Jerusalem is currently home to very important Jewish, Christian, and Muslim Holy sites. The city also includes a diverse population that has always been at odds with each other. This includes approximately 500,000 Jews, 15,000 Christians, and 300,000 Palestinians. Many Middle East countries in particular are preparing for a wave of violence, and the White House put all U.S. Embassies on high alert.Read Ezekiel 36-39 along with Zechariah 12 and 14, for what has happened, and what is soon about to happen. No one has to worry about any of these things if they simply say one sincere prayer of surrender to the Lord.
"Father, in the name of Jesus, I surrender my day and my life to you. I repent my sins. Please forgive me. I confess that Jesus is the Son of God and my Savior, rising from the dead. I surrender all aspects of myself and my life to you. Lord, guide me to do your will, to go wherever you want me to go and to do whatever you want me to do for the glory of your eternal Kingdom. I humbly ask you to give me blessings beyond my imagination so that I can use them to give back to you and your children. Amen."
