Scripture states that the 'number one' priority of a Christian is to lead others to accept Jesus as their Savior.
There is no greater importance for a minister, preacher, pastor, priest, or any Christian, than to lead others to accept Jesus as their Savior.
The Lord teaches how to do so, in determining first someone's outlook or lack of outlook pertaining to Jesus for a basis of a starting point. Thereafter, Scripture states that it is a two-fold process, as shown by every example in the New Testament. A Christian is taught to pray as they 'testify' in varying ways of their relationship with Jesus, and pray as they quote Scripture. Many times a Christian discovers that they need to pray from a distance and then intermittently council over time with testimonies and Scripture.
Paul, and Peter, in the book of Acts, give great examples of how they gave varying testimonies in how Jesus had come into their lives, and they also quoted Scripture.
A testimony, is a faith builder, and the Word of God has the power and authority of God.
Scripture specifically states that degrees of learned knowledge are a mute point if someone isn't placing leading others to accepting Jesus as their Savior within any learned knowledge.
Jesus is love, and His sacrifice is the greatest love that the world has ever known. All Christians were given an extraordinary eternal gift of love, and it's God's commandment that all Christians give that gift back as priority of importance above anything else that they do in this world.
John 15:12 This is my commandment, that ye love one another as I have loved you.
