The primary definition of 'knowledge,' is to 'know' something. Scripture states that someone could know every story in the Bible, but literally know nothing.
Knowing the story of Adam and Eve, Noah, Abraham, David, and even Jesus, equals nothing unless someone is using the 'understanding' of the 'wisdom' to 'love' with that knowledge. For example, someone could simply know of the story of Jesus, but not reciprocate their love for Him and receive Him for salvation.
Just to know something but without seeking a progression of understanding in how to apply that something is useless knowledge. The reason as to why humans exist and why God does everything is to love and be loved. God teaches His children to do the same, in the regard to love as He loves. The reason as to how humans exist and how God does everything is that God has the wisdom to do so. God teaches His children to do the same, using His wisdom in all that they do including to love.
But it is using the 'understanding' of the 'wisdom' to 'love' as God loves, with the knowledge of the Bible, that is key. Just knowing to love, but not knowing how to love as God loves, not loving, yields nothingness.
God is redundant in the Bible for good reason with many topics including due to the fact that humans are redundant to sin, such as committing the same sins over and over.
The knowledge of each Word, verse, chapter, and book of the Bible, is meant to be translated into a 'use,' for the 'understanding' of the 'wisdom' to 'love' with said knowledge of the Bible.
Proverbs 4:7 Wisdom is the principal thing, therefore get wisdom, and with all thy getting get understanding.
Jesus said in John 15:12 This is my commandment, that ye love one another as I have loved you.
1st Corinthians 8:1-3 Now as touching things offered unto idols, we know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge puffs up, but charity (caritas-Christ like love), edifies. And if any man who thinks that he knows any thing, he knows nothing yet as he ought to know. But if any man loves God, the same is known to him.
